»  Opinion Columns: Human Sciences

—————————

The table below logs my occasional commentaries on the human sciences, which I have interpreted broadly to include cultural and political topics in which some human-sciences issue is strongly relevant.

We live at a time when the human sciences are advancing very fast. If you want to make informed commentary on society and culture, you must try to keep up. I do my best; but whenever I think I have attained a good comprehensive overview, someone brings something entirely new to my attention. However, since 95 percent of the human-sciences commentary in the general press could fairly be described as wishful thinking steeped in a strong solution of ignorance, the competition is not fierce.
