She thought she was the only one who cared about Mum & Dad & blames the fact for not having children
but Mum & Dad weren't
helpless at that time She would write nasty letters to us other girls saying how lucky we were to be "out of
it" when Mum & Dad
got older. She didn't go unrewarded according to Mother, & again she wasn't always the loving daughter she made
out to be A bit of a
martyr, our Mu but for all that I've got something she can't have so I don't begrudge her anything. Money can't compare
with love of children &
with all their money they live a very narrow life, no matter if it suits them, but past is past & no harm done.
This is all for now
love, more
later. I'll just add I loved school & all but one of my teachers. She was a bitch to us poorer children &
would make scathing remarks about
our clothes, shoes, any school kit not up to scratch She licked the shoes of the manager's daughters &
plainly showed her scorn at lesser
mortals & I hated her. She had the power to make me cringe with her snide remarks in front of other children
I still remember her name Ida
