My Darling Son & Daughter.

I received your letter & cheque today, for which I thank you very much  I will get Judy to bank it for me on Thursday when she comes. The sun is shining but it's quite chilly & no warmth on yet  I dread the winter coming. Folk tell me Xmas goods are already in the shops!!I think I'll stay in bed, some hope!! Did you enjoy your break, and how did Nelly, Danny react. John, my love, Nelly is still only young to recognize colours. She'll soon learn when she goes to school, then if there's any doubt get her tested. Sometimes, my darling, I think you expect too much of her. She's only 2 & her little mind has had to take so much in, the last few weeks, and Danny too, he'll soon begin to take notice of things. You're too impatient. You were nearly 3 before you started to talk & then you never stopped! If you are in any doubt about their progress there are always experts to help, it's a pity you don't have a district nurse system like we have here. They follow the childs progess every week, sight, hearing, movement etc., at no cost. Nelly sounds very bright to me. I think she'll grow up to be a beautiful and intelligent young lady with the parents she's got. How can she be otherwise  Take one step at a time and stop worrying. Just enjoy them, their childhood goes so quickly, before you know where you are it will be, make up and boy friends etc. Then you'll really have something to worry about. It never stops, from the cradle to the grave. Where ever they are, you think are they safe, happy, in good health, and so on  Honey, believe me I still do!! Please accept Mum's lecture in good spirit  I love you all so much I just want everything to be right for you all. Silly me!! Loads of love Rosie and family  I'm sorry I'm old and no help to you. But I do love you.   X X
