It's now May 24th 1983. Since Xmas I have had a new D.G. Bay window, bathroom suite walls tiled, it looks lovely. Though very expensive worth every penny. My next project is to have the front garden paved, & a bit more paving to edge of small pool garden. The garden is a delight to me, it has really been beautiful. Daffs & narcissus, enormous tulips, pansies, & lots of other lovely flowers. The shrubs have done well, all we want is some SUNSHINE. It has rained almost non-stop for months. This morning the sun shone, oh joy! I washed paint, curtains, sheets & windows, did some weeding & then afternoon the sky went black & the wind blew cold. It's so depressing. Yesterday my nephew Glenville rang [Uncle Joe's son Grenville?], some fellow from Pennsylvania named Knowles, trying to trace ancestry, was in W'ton & Glen wanted to know if I could help. How interesting. I told him what I could. Never heard again!!
