My mother used this notebook for random jottings from January 1983 to June 1994. Some of the entries were diary-type narratives; many were just lists for shopping, Christmas cards, and so on.
The links below show images and transcriptions of the diary-type entries, of which there are eleven pages.
Some pages were torn out after the entry for May 15th 1990. That was just a few weeks before, in July 1990, Mum moved out of the house she had lived in for 42 years. I know that she was very upset about this; possibly she wrote things she later regretted.
And the poem on page 8, dated July 12th 1992, is out of chronological order, I don't know why. Perhaps Mum just wanted to fill some empty space on that page.
