My darling Eleanor, I know Daddy & Mummy call you Nellie but I like your proper name as above so in future I shall call you Eleanor. It was the name of an English Queen who lived many many years ago. She was most dearly loved by her husband but sadly she died in the Northern part of England & her husband had her body brought back to London to be buried and everywhere they stopped to rest he had a statue & cross built to her memory & where we used to live when your Daddy was a little boy there is a Queen Eleanor Cross. I'm sure your Daddy has some pictures of it. There are only 3 left now in the country & "ours" is one of them.
