Auntie Judy comes to see me every week and on Holiday times. I look forward to these times very much & we look at your snaps & talk about you all & share any news we've had, mostly family news.

Perhaps you'd like to know about my side of this large family of your forebears. My father, your Great-Grandfather Knowles was a miner who lived in Staffordshire. He was a kind and Gentle man with a great sense of humour & wit. I adored him, he was always so loving & merry I never heard him angry or cross. My mother, your Great-Grandmother Esther was — till old age — tall & slim always very lady-like, even though in her young days morals were very strict & respectability the order of the day.
